Masyarakat madani yang mereka dengungkan hanya beterbangan di udara, yang kemudian terkikis oleh kotornya kandungan udara di lingkungan kita.
Dan di kemudian hari kita mulai mengenal biaya uang kuliah tunggal, biaya remidial, biaya gedung, dsb. “Itu semua akan kembali ke mahasiswa”, “Biaya itu demi terpenuhinya fasilitas pembelajaran”. Seperti itulah lagu kebangsaan mereka, yang burung dara saja belum tentu sudi untuk sekedar mendengarnya. Semua sudah tersusun rapi berikut balutan Surat Keputusan, yang pastinya kebal terhadap demonstrasi mahasiswa yang bahkan jika mereka datang bergelombang-gelombang. Karena gelombang mahasiswa hanya dianggap seperti bongkahan spon raksasa, besar tapi tidak berbobot. Cukup datangkan aparat beserta mainannya, maka mahasiswa akan bubar dengan sendirinya. Mudah bukan?
Ketidak-biasaan keputusan ini mulai dipublikasi ke khalayak, disusun berapi-rapi dan cantik. Tetapi layaknya hukum “sebab-akibat”, pertentangan segera muncul di berbagai sektor pemakai layanan tersebut dan pecah. Namun apalah daya sebuah konflik, ia selalu jinak terhadap kalangan aparat yang pada kenyataannya adalah golongan mereka juga. Maka sempurnalah keputusan-keputusan mereka yang kemudian menjadi sebuah sistem dan diaplikasikan, dan terkutuklah bagi siapa saja yang tidak menyadarinya.
